About The RoleAltabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is hiring a Loan Assistant Supervisor for our Murray, Riverton, Salt Lake City, or Sandy branch.
Role:
To assist in facilitating the loan process by interacting with customers, lending partners, and the bank loan team in an efficient, professional, and helpful manner.
Assists Manager in overseeing a team of Loan Assistants, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, completing timecards, providing coaching, guidance, and support. Will also assist in training Loan Assistants and managing career development plans.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises staff, maintains proper backups for absences within assigned team. Manages staff payroll and timecards.
- With direction from Manager, ensures staff is adequately trained in all loan assistant duties.
- Assist Manager in the interview and selection process for new associates in the department.
- Assist Manager with individual and team recommendations regarding performance, training, and productivity levels. Will keep Manager informed of escalated issues.
- Conduct periodic one-on-ones with team members to provide individual coaching, evaluate training needs and provide feedback for performance improvement. Will provide feedback to Manager on respective team members’ performance on an ongoing basis and during the annual performance review cycle.
- Coordinates with Loan Closing/Quality Assurance Manager and works closely with Human Resources regarding employee relations, compensation, training, posting and filling vacant positions and other Human Resource related matters.
- Collaborates regularly with other Loan Support teams. Provides and receives feedback from other Loan Support teams on opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
- Provide administrative functions to support loan officer and team.
- Assists loan officer in preparing loan applications and documentation for approval.
- Communicate with customers and prospects to reduce friction in the loan production and portfolio management processes.
- Assist in collecting, filing, and organizing customer financials and information.
- Interact with business owners and other professionals in person, by email, and telephone.
- Work with other departments in the bank to help with loan production, documentation, and portfolio management.
- Compose letters and memoranda, edit written communications.
- Collect and prepare information for use in discussions and meetings with internal and external loan clients.
- Take meeting minutes in loan team meetings.
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
