FCB Banks in Collinsville, IL is seeking a Loan Assistant to support Loan Officers across lending products. You will handle administrative duties, prepare documents, and service loans while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires strong communication, banking operations knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office. A 40-hour work week, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor preferred.
• 2–5 years customer service experience preferred.
• 1–3 years lending or loan assistant experience preferred.
• Strong communication and MS Office skills required.

Responsibilities

• Explain loan options, rates, terms and collateral requirements to customers.
• Order credit reports, prepare loan documents and analyze debt-to-income ratio.
• Coordinate and conduct loan closings.
• Review loan documents with customers; obtain signatures.
• Initiate disbursement of loan proceeds and service loans.
• Monitor maturities and renewals; support audits and compliance.
• Keep informed of mortgage regulations and applicable laws.
• Close consumer loans and perform loan maintenance.
• Assist loan officers and provide bank customer service.
• Prepare board reports and pull past-due reports; apply NSF charges.
