Loan and New Account Sales Assistant (a/k/a Financial Services Coordinator)

About the Role

Our membership includes employees and students from Constellation, Exelon, Northwestern Medicine, Northwestern University, and a 14-county community charter including Evanston and Rockford.

We are currently seeking an in-person Administrative Assistant for our Chicago-Loop (Monroe Street) office.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide internal sales support to the Financial Services Department.
  • Provide excellent member service to credit union members and guests.
  • Multi-task and handle work through various channels including online, telephone, in-person, mail, fax, etc.
  • Complete reports and projects accurately and promptly.
  • Analyze, audit, and report on pending lending applications and new account onboarding.
  • Manage new member welcome packets and onboarding campaigns.
  • Process loan applications such as vehicle loans and auto loan recaptures.
  • Prepare and deliver disclosures, notices, thank you notes, and follow-up letters.
  • Coordinate Internet sales channels, monitor application queues, review reports, and audit applications.
  • Know First Northern's deposit and loan products and services.
  • Refer members to personal bankers for new products and services.
  • Prepare reports for committee, management, and board meetings.
  • Assist in scheduling and preparing for meetings.
  • Create and distribute memos and reports for executive management.
  • Assist in follow-up tasks and file miscellaneous materials.
  • Perform clerical duties such as data entry, mailing, scanning, etc.
Qualifications
  • Enjoy working with people and possess strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Banking/Financial Services experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Schedule: In-person, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., full-time (40 hours/week)
