Job summary

Surface Preparation Technologies, LLC is seeking a LoadMore Sweeper Operator to join our nationwide field team. You will travel to project locations across the United States, often staying away for several weeks, with company-paid lodging and a daily per diem provided while traveling.

You will operate, inspect, and maintain a proprietary LoadMore sweeper, following daily schedules and reporting activities. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL B with a DOT medical card, and

Responsibilities

  • Review daily schedule with the Project Foreman to confirm assignments, locations and expectations.
  • Safely operate, inspect, and maintain the sweeper to stay job-ready and efficient.
  • Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report safety concerns.
  • Accurately record daily time, engine hours, mileage, inspections, incidents, and maintenance needs using the reporting system.
  • Represent the company professionally and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and the public.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by responding to changing job site conditions and maintaining reliable attendance.

Job description

LoadMore Sweeper Operator

As our next LoadMore Sweeper operator you will be at the heart of the mission, delivering essential services that help improve public safety and enhance environmental quality. In this role, you will follow assigned project schedules and operate a proprietary piece of equipment that cleans roads across the country like no other sweeper.

This position requires extensive travel and extended periods away from home. Employees travel to project locations throughout the United States and should expect to be away from home for several consecutive weeks, depending on project schedules and business needs. Company-paid lodging and a daily per diem are provided while traveling.

The core responsibilities of the job listed below outline the core duties and expectations of the position and support company goals.

  • Review Daily Schedule: Review your daily work schedule and coordinate with the Project Foreman to confirm assignments, project locations, and job expectations.
  • Equipment Readiness: Safely operate, inspect, clean, and perform routine maintenance on your assigned sweeper to ensure it is job-ready and operate efficiently each day.
  • Safety & Inspections: Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections, identifying and reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns before operating equipment.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Accurately record daily time, engine hours, mileage, equipment inspections, incidents, maintenance needs, parts requests, and safety concerns using the company's designated reporting system or mobile application.
  • Professionalism: Represent the company in a professional manner by maintaining positive working relationships and communicating effectively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and the public.
  • Adaptability & Dependability: Demonstrate flexibility by responding to changing job site conditions, adjusting to project needs, solving problems proactively, and maintaining reliable attendance and punctuality.
Minimum requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid CDL B and DOT medical card
  • 1 year of DOT driving experience
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Clean driving record or MVR

  • Communication & Incident Reporting: Effectively communicate with supervisors and team members, represent the company professionally, and promptly report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns.
Physical Requirements:
  • Constant outdoor work with exposure to weather, elements and traffic. Occasional exposure to loud noise, dust/debris, oil and grease.
  • Physical demands: Frequent sitting and driving long distances between jobs. Frequent walking, climbing, kneeling, pushing/pulling. Ability to lift 50 pounds, including overhead.
  • Cognitive requirements: Mental focus and hand eye coordination throughout the day.
  • Equipment & Tools: Operation of specialized LoadMore sweeper and the use of hand controls, foot controls and fine motor skills.
  • Safety & PPE: Required use of appropriate PPE, including high visibility apparel, eye, ear, hand, skin, and lung protection.

An "investigative consumer report" is a background report that includes information from personal interviews. Information may be obtained from private and public sources and for investigative consumer reports from personal interviews as noted above.

The Company may require you to complete a drug screening test and/or physical on you in connection with your employment application. Continental Screening Services will supply drug screening and physical reports to the Company.
