Job summary

Harvard Protection Services in Boston is seeking a Security - Loading Dock Officer to oversee secure dock operations, manage deliveries, monitor inbound and outbound traffic, and ensure compliance with site-specific security procedures.

The role requires 1–2 years of security experience, reliable transportation, strong communication, and the ability to write routine reports. This is a full-time position with a 5:00am–1:00am schedule and a competitive hourly wage with benefits.

Responsibilities

• Monitor loading dock access and ensure only authorized personnel enter.
• Greet and verify delivery personnel, vendors, and contractors.
• Patrol dock zones to deter theft or vandalism.
• Handle dock-related calls and communications.
• Enforce policies and procedures for loading docks.
• Inspect outgoing deliveries for proper authorization.
• Monitor security systems and alarms for dock areas.
• Prepare incident and activity reports.
• Follow emergency protocols and assist in evacuations.
