Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. is hiring a Loading Dock Operator for our Columbus, NE facility. This full-time role operates on a 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m., supporting receiving, storage, and shipping of products with strong emphasis on safety and quality. Responsibilities include log accuracy, stock rotation, material communication, and daily QA reporting. Candidates should meet OSHA, cGMP, HACCP/FSMA standards and be able to operate a forklift.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Good communication, verbal, written and math skills.
• Work and cooperate with all fellow employees.
• Thorough understanding of cGMPs.
• Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
• Knowledge of FSMA.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Fill out accurate receiving log for all packaging and raw materials.
• Rotate stock for first in first out usage and/or shipments.
• Consult with Shipping or Receiving Supervisor for required materials.
• Advise Quality Control daily of any problems with ingredients or finished goods.
• Inspect trailers for sanitation using BB Trailer Inspection form.
• Advise Shipping/Receiving Supervisor of any shortages, damages, etc.
• Keep Warehouse aisles clean of debris, boxes, pallets, etc.
• Repair or destroy any damaged ingredients or finished products as directed.
• Maintain forklifts with proper charging and water in battery.
• Maintain adequate records of receiving and/or shipping.
• Do monthly cycle counts on various items per management.
• Do physical counts as instructed per management.
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Management.
