Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc., a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE™ family, has an opening for a Loading Dock Operator in Columbus, NE. This full-time role supports efficient movement, storage, and shipment of products, with emphasis on safety, quality, and customer service. Hours are 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Good verbal, written and math skills.
• Work cooperatively with all fellow employees.
• Knowledge of cGMPs, HACCP, FSMA.

Responsibilities

• Fill out accurate receiving logs for all packaging and raw materials.
• Rotate stock for FIFO usage and/or shipments.
• Consult with Shipping or Receiving Supervisor for required materials.
• Advise Quality Control daily of any problems with ingredients or finished goods.
• Inspect trailers for sanitation using the BB Trailer Inspection form.
• Notify Shipping/Receiving Supervisor of shortages or damages.
• Keep warehouse aisles clean and organized.
• Repair or dispose of damaged ingredients or finished products as directed and report details.
• Maintain forklifts with proper charging and water in batteries.
• Maintain records of receiving and/or shipping.
• Perform monthly cycle counts and physical counts as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Management.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and shipment of products while supporting safe and effective warehouse operations. Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Fill out accurate receiving log for all packaging and raw materials
• Rotate stock for first in first out usage and/or Shipments
• Consult with Shipping or Receiving Supervisor for required materials
• Advise Quality Control daily of any problems with ingredients or finished goods
• Inspect trailers for sanitation using BB Trailer Inspection form.
• Advise Shipping/Receiving Supervisor of any shortages, damages, etc.
• Keep Warehouse aisles clean of debris, boxes, pallets, etc.
• Repair or destroy any damaged ingredients or finished products as directed. If destroyed, report type, quantity, resource and lot numbers and location to Shipping/Receiving Supervisor

• Do monthly cycle counts on various items per management
• Do physical counts as instructed per management
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Management

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to safely lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to working height, as job requires
