Job summary

Surge Staffing is hiring a Loader/Unloader in Ohio. This is a physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and loading/unloading throughout the shift. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a fast-paced distribution center setting.

You will load/unload trailers by hand, label outbound cartons, and help maintain an organized work area. Previous warehouse experience is a plus but not required; reliability and teamwork are essential for daily operations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Loader/Unloader to support our distribution operations. This is a physically demanding role involving continuous standing, walking, lifting, loading, and unloading throughout the workday.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers by hand using gravity rollers.
• Move cartons on and off pallets for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Label cartons for outbound shipments (approximately 5,000–6,000 packages per week).
• Receive and unload incoming truckloads, including both palletized and floor-loaded freight.
• Maintain an organized and efficient work area.
• Follow safe material-handling practices and company procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Comfortable with continuous standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Able to repeatedly lift and move boxes throughout the workday.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous warehouse or distribution experience is an asset, but not required.
