Job summary

Custom Wood Products is seeking a reliable Loader/Unloader to join the Delivery team in Kansas. Responsibilities include loading, securing and delivering cabinets, with safe handling and top‑notch service for customers.

When not delivering, you will assist in the woodshop with cabinet assembly, sanding, staining and painting, using machinery and hand tools under supervision. Safety and accuracy are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent customer service, courteous and professional.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs without help and up to 300 lbs with assistance.
• Able to read shop drawings and read a tape measure.
• Willing to learn to operate woodworking machinery and tools.

Responsibilities

• Loads, secures and protects product in delivery vehicle and safely transport merchandise without damage.
• Offloads merchandise for customers safely.
• On non-delivery days, works in woodshop performing cabinet assembly, sanding, staining, painting and operating machinery.
• Adheres to safety protocols and conducts work in a safe manner.
• All other duties as assigned.

The Loader/Unloader will be responsible for loading and unloading cabinets for delivery to customer homes. Our Delivery team are brand ambassadors, and provide top notch, red carpet customer service on the delivery experience to every customer they encounter.Essential Functions:Loads, secures and protects product in delivery vehicle and safely transport merchandise without damage.Verify product information and accessories to ensure it matches for deliveries and returns.Offload the merchandise for our customers safely.On non-delivery or low delivery days, works in woodshop in duties defined by plant manager or designee to include assembling cabinets, sanding, staining, painting, operating machinery, etc. to help produce final quality product.Adheres to safety protocols and conducts work in safe manner.All other duties as assigned.High School Diploma or equivalent preferredExcellent customer service skills, including being courteous and professionalExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to lift up to 80 lbs. without help and up to 300 lbs. with assistancePrevious experience in warehouse, furniture moving, or other related physical work preferredAbility to work schedule of hours varying from 7 am to 9 pmAbility to read/interpret shop drawings, and utilize and read tape measureMust have keen eye for detail and producing high quality products (free of defects/errors)Must be able to learn to operate woodworking machinery, equipment, and hand tools
