Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking an Outbound Operations Supervisor in New Orleans to oversee dock and dispatch operations at our service center. This Full-Time role requires coordinating loaders, drivers, and freight handlers on a Monday–Friday schedule with various shifts.

Candidate should have proven leadership, strong organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with LTL freight handling. Experience with MS Office and knowledge of the local area are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven basic leadership experience.
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and logistics skills.
• Knowledge of quality freight handling preferred.
• Must have computer skills and be proficient with MS Office.
• Knowledge of the City and surrounding areas.
• Prior LTL leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage dock and dispatch operations at the New Orleans Service Center.
• Lead Loader Supervisors and coordinate dock/driver schedules.
• Ensure safety compliance and adherence to freight handling procedures.
• Oversee timely dispatching of LTL loads and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager.

• Driver and Freight Handler Management
• Coordinate Dock Operation and Driver/Freight Handler scheduling
• Ensure Safety Compliance
• Ensure quality freight handling procedures are followed
• Timely dispatching of LTL Loads
• Other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager
• Candidates must have proven basic leadership experience.
• Must have the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Organizational / Communication/ and Logistical skills with solid problem-solving abilities.
