Job description

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Loader/Runner to support our client’s warehouse operations in Jersey City, New Jersey 07305. If you thrive in a physically active role and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you!

Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $18-$21/hr
Shifts: Monday – Friday - 1^st shift – 6 am - 2:30 pm
2^nd shift – 1:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Primary Responsibilities

• Use sit-down forklift and electric double pallet jack equipment to move pallets to the scheduled shipping door.
• Move pallets from the inbound dock door to designated locations inside the warehouse.
• Locate products as requested in work orders.
• Change over pallets for picking and visually inspect items for damages or flaws, documenting and reporting any issues to the lead or supervisor.
• Ensure all pallets entering the warehouse or dock doors are properly wrapped.
• Wrap pallets using a wrap machine based on location.
• Invert pallets using a pallet inverter as needed.
• Operate other machinery and material handling equipment as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent required
• Hands-on experience operating a sit-down forklift and double electric pallet jack in a warehouse or distribution setting.
• Basic math skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
• Must be able to lift a minimumof40lbs
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud
