Job summary

Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a hands-on, mechanically minded individual to run the loader and keep our yard moving. You will operate the loader, keep piles organized, and help maintain equipment to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, heavy equipment experience or willingness to learn, and the ability to lift 75+ lbs. CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Heavy equipment experience or willingness to learn; we'll train the right person.
• Mechanical know-how and ability to lift 75+ lbs.
• CDL preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Run the loader: keep bins full, load trucks, and feed the batch plant.
• Keep aggregate piles sharp and stockpiles organized.
• Service and maintain equipment (oil, grease, adjust, repair).
• Clear snow, keep the yard safe, and keep operations running smoothly.
