Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc., in Springdale, AR, seeks an experienced Loader Operator to support civil construction projects. You will operate loaders and other heavy equipment safely, load and transport materials, and assist with earthwork, trenching, and site development under supervision.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of heavy equipment operating experience, especially loaders on civil sites, and familiarity with underground utilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy equipment operating experience, with loader experience on civil construction projects.
• Experience around underground wet utilities (water, sewer, drainage) preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong communication skills and safety-conscious attitude.
• Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate wheel loaders and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction projects.
• Load, transport, stockpile, and distribute materials including soil, aggregate, rock, sand, and pipe bedding material.
• Support underground utility crews involved in water, sewer, storm sewer, and drainage installations.
• Assist with excavation, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation activities.
• Maintain proper grades and material placement in accordance with project specifications.
• Work closely with foremen, operators, and laborers to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and utility excavation requirements.
• Assist with general earthwork and site development operations as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
