Job summary

Webber, a Ferrovial company, is seeking an equipment operator to operate a rubber-tired machine with backhoe and loader buckets on construction sites. You will excavate ditches, lay pipe, move materials, and assist with general site work in a physically demanding outdoor role.

Requirements include a less than high school diploma with related construction experience, the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and a strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
• Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
• May oil, grease, or otherwise service the machine.
• Make necessary adjustment to equipment as needed.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
