Job summary

Arcosa Crushed Concrete is seeking a dependable team member to travel between yards and operate a rubber tire loader safely and efficiently. The role includes feeding the plant, loading trucks, stockpiling materials, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

You will communicate with the field supervisor, perform routine maintenance, and assist with other duties as needed. Must be at least 18, with reliable transportation and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation to travel between yards.
• Some experience in a similar role is required.
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance Monday through Saturday.
• Positive, team-based attitude is essential.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Travel between yards based on operational needs.
• Safely operate rubber tire loader with competence and caution, following safety procedures.
• Feed plant, load trucks, stockpile materials, pushup stockpiles and maintain clean yard and roadways.
• Communicate regularly with field supervisor about assigned work and instructions.
• Use hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdriver, hammer) as needed for maintenance or repairs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment and report deficiencies or needed repairs.
• Inspect equipment and maintain a log of deficiencies.
• Maintain clean workspace, proper tool storage, and end-of-day equipment storage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Travel between yards based on operational needs
• Safely operate rubber tire loader with competency and caution, and adhere to safety procedures and requirements
• Feed plant, load trucks, stockpile materials, pushup stockpiles and maintain clean yard and roadways
• Communicate on regular and continuous basis with field supervisor regarding assigned work to accomplish and specific instructions
• Use hand tools such as wrenches, sockets, screwdriver, sledge hammer, and others as needed to accomplish daily tasks to maintain and/or repair equipment
• Perform scheduled maintenance on assigned equipment (i.e., oil and filter changes, other equipment or motor repairs as necessary); notify supervisor of any deficiencies or repairs needed
• Inspect equipment and maintain written log of all equipment-related deficiencies
• Maintain housekeeping of work site including trash pickup, keeping tools in order; proper storage of equipment at end of workday
• Perform other duties as assigned or required
