Job summary

Arcosa Crushed Concrete is seeking a Loader Operator to travel between Lakeland and Jacksonville yards in Florida. You will safely operate a rubber tire loader, feed the plant, load trucks, stockpile materials, and keep the yard and roadways in good order.

Qualities include reliable transportation, 18+ years old, punctual attendance, and a positive, team-based attitude. This role requires ability to work in outdoor conditions and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Travel between yards based on operational needs.
• Safely operate rubber tire loader with competency and caution, and adhere to safety procedures and requirements.
• Feed plant, load trucks, stockpile materials, push up stockpiles and maintain clean yard and roadways.
• Communicate with field supervisor regarding assigned work and instructions.
• Use hand tools to maintain and repair equipment as needed.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment and notify supervisor of deficiencies.
• Inspect equipment and maintain written log of deficiencies.
• Maintain housekeeping of work site and proper storage of equipment.

What you’ll do

• Travel between yards based on operational needs
• Safely operate rubber tire loader with competency and caution, and adhere to safety procedures and requirements
• Feed plant, load trucks, stockpile materials, push up stockpiles and maintain clean yard and roadways
• Communicate on regular and continuous basis with field supervisor regarding assigned work to accomplish and specific instructions
• Use hand tools such as wrenches, sockets, screwdriver, sledge hammer, and others as needed to accomplish daily tasks to maintain and/or repair equipment
• Perform scheduled maintenance on assigned equipment (i.e., oil and filter changes, other equipment or motor repairs as necessary); notify supervisor of any deficiencies or repairs needed
• Inspect equipment and maintain written log of all equipment-related deficiencies
• Maintain housekeeping of work site including trash pickup, keeping tools in order; proper storage of equipment at end of workday
• Perform other duties as assigned or required
