Job summary

The Olen Corporation and Area Aggregates is seeking a focused Equipment Operator for day shifts at our Ohio sites. You will operate track excavators, backhoes, dozers, loaders, rollers, forklifts, and related equipment, while following foreman directions and maintaining safety on busy projects.

We value a high school diploma or GED and prior experience with varied equipment, along with the ability to inspect gear and stay aware of surroundings on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• Experience with operating procedures of multiple types of equipment.
• Must be able to operate multiple equipment safely.
• Competent inspection of equipment.
• Ability to understand directions and procedures.
• Maintain awareness in a busy project environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate track excavators, back hoes, dozers, loaders, rollers, forklifts and other equipment.
• Perform other routine duties as directed by Foreman.

Job Description:

Operator must have the ability to operate a variety of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Shift/Schedule: Day Shift

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for operating track excavators, back hoes, dozers, loaders, rollers, forklifts, and other pieces of equipment.
• Perform other routine duties as directed by Foreman.

Education and Experience:

• Experience with operating procedures of multiple types of equipment.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have basic knowledge of proper operating procedures of multiple types of equipment.
• Must be capable of operating the assigned machine and any other related equipment in a safe manner.
• Must be able to do a competent inspection of the equipment.
• Must be able to apply and retain information provided in crew meetings.
• Must be able to understand directions/instructions on methods/process to do work.
• Must be able to maintain high level of awareness for a busy project work environment.
