Loader Operator

Job description

This position will primarily be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the loader in addition to other duties.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load customer trucks and trailers
• Operate various types of heavy equipment on the property
• Perform general maintenance on equipment (greasing, cleaning, filling out inspection reports, etc.)
• Work with other employees on the team to perform general plant maintenance, repairs, and other work where needed
• Operate other types of equipment on the property such as skid steer, fuel truck, water truck, and haul truck
• Work safely while following safety rules and MSHA regulations
• Other tasks as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong mechanical skills preferred
• Appropriate communication skills
• Customer service skills necessary to effectively interact with customers, employees, and other guests at the property
• Willingness to learn, having a positive attitude, dependable, and being a team player highly desired
• Ability to work in close proximity of other equipment and personnel
• Knowledge of MSHA rules and regulations preferred

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
• Ability to work extended hours (including Saturday) during the busy season
• Ability to wear appropriate PPE required for the job
