Job Summary
  • Seeking a Loader Operator for efficient and safe transportation of various materials at our Garland aggregate site. This is a seasonal position which will begin sometime between late February and April. Our season varies dependent on weather and business needs but usually ends around mid-November.
Main Responsibilities
  • Promote safe work practices and an excellent safety environment.
  • Responsible for safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
  • Complete daily inspections and maintenance checklist.
  • Participate in pre-shift safety huddles.
  • Perform routine maintenance and various equipment repairs as needed.
  • Responsible for reporting incidents and accidents to supervisors.
  • Report any potential safety hazards to the Plant Superintendent or Supervisors.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Skills
  • Ability to operate equipment efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisors and peers.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes.
  • Ability to perform tasks as given from supervisors as well as work as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
  • Able to stand, walk, sit, enter and exit large equipment.
  • Able to use arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Able to lift and handle objects.
