Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is hiring a Loader Operator to run front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to keep concrete plants moving. You’ll load/unload materials, collaborate with your crew, and follow safety protocols on every shift.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loaders or other heavy machines.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Care about safety for yourself and teammates.
• Able to inspect equipment and perform basic fixes.
• Team player with good communication.
• Physically able to work outdoors in all weather.
• High school diploma or equivalent is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to move sand, gravel, and cement to keep plant operations flowing.
• Load and unload trucks, hoppers, bins, and conveyors to ensure material availability.
• Work with your crew to keep schedules on track.
• Check equipment before and after shifts and report issues for safety.
• Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Keep work area clean and organized for a safer site.
• Assist with inventory checks to avoid material shortages.
• Share ideas with plant leaders to improve operations.
• Be ready to help teammates or take on additional tasks as needed.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

• Take the wheel of powerful front‑end loaders and other heavy equipment to move sand, gravel, and cement around the plant- keeping our concrete flowing and our operations moving.
• Load and unload trucks, hoppers, bins, and conveyors so our team always has the materials they need.
• Work side‑by‑side with your crew and production team to keep things running on schedule.
• Check your equipment before and after each shift, and let the team know if something needs fixing- your safety and theirs comes first.
• Follow all safety rules, wear your gear, and help keep the plant a safe place for everyone.
• Pitch in to keep your work area clean and organized- because a tidy site is a safer site.
• Help count inventory and make sure we never run low on the materials that keep us going.
• Share your ideas with plant leaders and help us get better every day.
• Be ready to lend a hand wherever you’re needed- whether it’s helping a teammate or jumping in on a tough job.

What Sets You Apart

• Experience running loaders or other big machines is great, but if you’re willing to learn and work hard, we’ll train you.
