Job summary

Black Hills Trucking LLC is seeking a Loader Operator for an on-site role in Casper, Wyoming. The position involves operating forklifts in an oilfield pipe yard, loading and unloading pipe and materials, and ensuring safe handling and secure placement.

You will verify loads, assist with inventory, and perform routine forklift maintenance while following all safety procedures to keep operations efficient and safe.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent education with 0–2 years' oilfield or trucking experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.
• DOT physical requirements and related safety testing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Operate center oscillating Pettibone and Doosan forklifts in an oilfield pipe yard to load, unload, and transport pipe and tubular materials.
• Load and unload pipe and other materials from trucks and railcars, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
• Assist in maintaining pipe racks in a safe and organized condition.
• Verify loads are secured and compliant with safety standards before transport.
• Count and verify materials against shipping documents; assist with inventory control.
• Conduct routine inspections and perform minor maintenance on forklifts and related equipment.
• Maintain adherence to all safety procedures during material handling and equipment operation.

What You'll Do:

What We're Looking For:

• A high school diploma or equivalent education with zero to two (0-2) years’ experience in oilfield or trucking operations; an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to meet physical requirements established by the Department of Transportation, including drug/alcohol testing.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Possession of a valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of equipment to be operated.
• OSHA forklift certification preferred, or have the ability to pass operator test for certification.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• English language fluency, verbal and written.
• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
