Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator in Conroe, TX to operate heavy equipment and support a team in a dredge mining environment.

You will perform pre-shift inspections, prioritize safety, and communicate with plant staff while working outdoors in varied conditions. A high school diploma or GED is required, and you must be able to operate at least two pieces of heavy equipment. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Job Summary

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator based out of our Conroe, TX. As a Mobile Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and working with a team to produce natural aggregates in a dredge mining environment.

Day to Day

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• The ability to operate two pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, dozer or excavator etc.)
• Operate equipment in quarry
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
• Cleans equipment, clears obstacles in work environment.

About You

• Positive, Team-based attitude
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Operate at least 2 pieces of Heavy Equipment (haul truck, backhoe, front-end loader, dozer or excavator)

Working Conditions

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
