Job Description: Loader Operator

The Loader Operator is responsible for moving and loading vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. This role includes maintaining documentation of vehicle movements, conducting daily pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring the safe operation of equipment according to company standards. The operator will also facilitate the customer experience by understanding and applying Copart policies, maintaining equipment, and supporting yard setup for auctions. A positive attitude and professional demeanor are essential, along with the ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  1. Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
  2. Move and load vehicles as required.
  3. Maintain accurate documentation of vehicle movements and inspections.
  4. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and recordkeeping.
  5. Assist with yard setup for auctions within specified timelines.
  6. Ensure a safe working environment by following company safety guidelines.
  7. Provide excellent customer service and support.
  8. Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.
  9. Record vehicle information accurately using documentation devices.
  10. Set up yard for auctions and maintain operational standards.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least two years of outdoor work experience, with one year in loader or forklift operation (certification preferred).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude and high integrity.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to pass training and safety requirements.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime.
Compensation and Benefits:

Pay range: $23.40 - $26.31 per hour
