Job summary

Clariant SE in the United States is seeking a hands-on Equipment Operator to support maintenance tasks and operate loaders, lifts, and forklifts (when certified). You will work closely with the maintenance team to inspect equipment and complete repairs, while keeping accurate records.

After six months, you may help train new team members, contributing to a collaborative, safety-focused workplace with opportunities in safety programs and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year preferred but no experience needed.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to drive a forklift/ stand up and loader.

Responsibilities

• Operate Front Loader, Stand Up, and Forklift (once certified within Clariant).
• Can work well with others and do all cleaning duties in a timely manner.
• Ability to walk up five flights of stairs when needed for maintenance work or visual inspections.
• Work with our maintenance team to do work such as but not limited to belts, motors, valves, bearings, greasing machinery biweekly, etc.
• Use of handheld tools such as drills, airlines, air hammer, hoist, impact tools, etc.
• Abide by all Clariant rules and regulations.
• Ability to fill out all paper documents, Microsoft software’s, digital worksheets/ spreadsheets, and send out emails/ pass downs.
