Job summary

TD Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Loader Driver / Loading Shovel Operator to join a busy waste management and recycling facility in Gloucester. The role involves operating a loading shovel, loading waste into processing equipment, and feeding machinery to maintain production.

You will work Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM start, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork in a fast-paced site environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a loading shovel / wheeled loader.
• Experience in waste management, recycling, aggregates or scrap metal environment advantageous.
• Good understanding of site Health & Safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loading shovel / wheeled loader safely and efficiently.
• Load waste and recyclables into shredders, screens, conveyors and processing equipment.
• Load and unload HGVs, walking floor trailers and skips.
• Move and sort waste and recyclables around the site.
• Feed processing machinery to maintain production levels.
• Carry out daily plant inspections and report defects.
• Keep the working area clean, safe and organised.
• Follow site Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

TD Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Loader Driver / Loading Shovel Operator to join a busy waste management and recycling facility for our client in Gloucester, GL2.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established recycling business operating modern plant and equipment. We are looking for a reliable and experienced operator with previous experience working in the waste, recycling, aggregates or scrap metal industry.

The Role

As a Loader Driver / Loading Shovel Operator, your responsibilities will include:

Operating a loading shovel / wheeled loader safely and efficiently.

Loading waste and recyclable materials into shredders, screens, conveyors and processing equipment.

Loading and unloading HGVs, walking floor trailers and skips.

Moving and sorting various waste and recyclable materials around the site.

Feeding waste processing machinery to maintain production levels.

Carrying out daily plant inspections and reporting any defects.

Keeping the working area clean, safe and organised.

Following all site Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements

Previous experience operating a loading shovel / wheeled loader.

Valid CPCS, NPORS or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Experience within a waste management, recycling, aggregates or scrap metal environment is advantageous.

Good understanding of site Health & Safety procedures.

Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.

Shift / Start

As soon as possible, Monday to Friday

7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
