Job summary

G&J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc. is seeking a Loader for the 2nd shift to quickly, safely and accurately build and load pallets of product for delivery. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-11pm (or until done) and Friday 1pm-9:30pm (or until done).

You will use mechanical equipment to load pallets, follow safety standards, and assist in maintaining a clean, organized warehouse. Prior material handling in a beverage environment is preferred; training new employees may be part of the role.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of material handling experience in a warehouse.
• Food/beverage warehouse experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse/food distribution environment.
• Ability to count accurately; read and write; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets and load pallets onto trucks per build sheets.

• Follow safety policies, wear PPE, and maintain cleanliness.

Loader (2nd Shift) (Finance)

Loader - 2nd Shift

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 2:30pm-11pm (or until done) AND Friday 1pm-9:30pm (or until done)

Position Summary

To serve our internal and external customers by quickly, safely and accurately building and loading pallets of product to be delivered to our customers.

Essential Functions

• Builds pallets of product accurately by identifying proper location and quantity of product requested on build sheets.
• Utilizes mechanical equipment to load pallets onto truck; ensures that each pallet is loaded correctly onto the correct truck as requested on build sheets.
• Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA and safety requirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local laws); wears all personal protective equipment.
• Stacks products and builds pallets according to established standards to ensure stability and safety of pallets.
• This position involves handling, stocking, and organizing alcoholic products.
• Communicates with co-workers, supervisor and management team verbally regarding the status of work activities (e.g. loading process) and G&J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc. other information; supervisor regarding questions or issues with daily assignments; works with Load Auditors and Warehouse Management Team to resolve problems, errors and mis-picks.
• Maintains cleanliness and assists in the organization of the warehouse (e.g. cuts away shrink wrap from pallets, gathers damaged materials, cleans up spills, stocks and fills storage racks). Moves and parks trucks in order to maintain efficient and timely loading process.
• Completes equipment safety checklists, build sheet forms, time-off requests and other required paperwork according to established standards.
• Notifies restocker of stock outages so that product can be replenished on staging racks
• Trains new employees to perform Warehouse Loader job duties.
• Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as needed to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.

Experience

Years of Experience - 0 - 1 years of material handling experience in a warehouse environment; previous food/beverage warehouse experience strongly preferred.
