Loader

Responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the plant, yard, or work sites, performing any combination of the following duties: reading pick ticket orders or following oral instructions to ascertain materials or products to be loaded, unloaded, or moved. Has no supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Receive and disperse supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Convey materials to or from storage or work sites to designated areas, using hand-truck, dolly, or other yard devices.
• Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Perform accurate order fulfillment counts; count, weigh, and record units of materials moved or handled daily.
• Lift heavy objects by hand or using a power hoist.
• Clean work area, machines, and equipment using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds.
• Occasionally operate industrial trucks to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good oral communication and basic math skills.
• Ability to pass background check with ATF.
• Must be flexible and able to make decisions in the best interest of the company.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential functions of the position.
• Ability to lift 50-80 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work on uneven and loose surfaces.
• Stooping and bending 60–70% of the time.
