Description

Ranco Fertiservice, Inc., a premier manufacturer of dry fertilizer blending and handling equipment located in Sioux Rapids, IA

The load out crew member helps load and unload equipment, products, materials ensuring accurate loads for outgoing shipments. Communicates with supervision and co-workers regarding loads and schedules. Maintains a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Loads materials onto trucks/trailers and installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Ensure loads are secure.
  • Assists in recording shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for recordkeeping purposes.
  • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using trucks, forklift, or other equipment.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety and cleanliness practices.
  • Able to promptly produce quality work that satisfies customer requirements.
  • Works at different work-areas as needs require. Performs other duties as requested throughout Ranco.

Education, Reasoning ability, and or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or proven track record in work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of different kinds of metals, bolts and their properties is essential.
  • Able to use and apply problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in using measuring tools (i.e. tape measure).
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and work with fractions and decimals.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
