Job summary

AAK in Richmond, CA is hiring a Load Inspector/Pumper's Helper to support manufacturing operations on site. You will implement seal and inspection procedures, assist with plant operations, and perform GMP, food safety and quality tasks while adhering to safety rules.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, good math and English, physical fitness to climb up to 15 feet, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Overtime and flexible scheduling may be needed.

Build a better future as a Load Inspector/Pumper's Helper in Richmond, CA

Compensation Range: $24.88 per hour.

Your responsibilities include:

• Implement defined seal and inspection procedures.
• Provide additional support to plant operations as needed.
• Perform GMP, Food Safety, and Quality tasks. Follow safety rules at all times. Complete all required documentation.

Your experience includes:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Position requires good physical condition with frequent climbing up to 15 feet required.
• Ability to perform duties wearing weight restricted safety equipment is needed.
• Good basic math skills along with written and verbal English language proficiency.
• Careful attention to Good Manufacturing Practices while maintaining designated areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule within normal loading hours.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow direction and interact with fellow employees as well as outside contractors.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The job is performed in an outdoor environment in the manufacturing plant. Exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, heat, sparks, oil, and smoke may occur. Protective safety equipment is required including appropriate clothing, shoes, gloves, hardhat, safety glasses, and fall protection harness. Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with management and other co-workers is important. Regular use of a variety of measuring tools, the telephone, and e-mail for communication is essential. Standing and climbing tankers for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations, to receive ordinary information. Heavy lifting is required intermittently. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally is required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines or measuring tools is required. Good math and reasoning ability is essential. Able to apply general mathematical calculations, analysis of variance, as well as geometry, and other basic standard equations as required. Able to understand and utilize engineering drawings is helpful.
