Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating transportation, shipping, warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations.
  • Experience communicating with carriers, drivers, warehouse teams, and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience working with warehouse management, transportation management, or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating inbound and outbound freight schedules to ensure on-time shipment and receipt of materials.
  • Managing multiple loads simultaneously while adjusting priorities to support changing operational demands.
  • Communicating with carriers, drivers, warehouse teams, and leadership to provide updates and resolve transportation issues.
  • Monitoring dock activity, equipment utilization, and labor resources to maintain efficient freight flow.
  • Reviewing bills of lading, manifests, shipping documents, and system transactions to ensure load accuracy.
  • Responding to freight delays, missed appointments, and operational disruptions by implementing contingency plans and minimizing service impacts.
  • Analyzing transportation and operational metrics to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improved efficiency.

Load Coordinator (1st Shift)

You’ll Support Meaningful Work By:
  • Coordinating inbound and outbound freight schedules to ensure on-time shipment and receipt of materials.
  • Managing multiple loads simultaneously while adjusting priorities to support changing operational demands.
  • Communicating with carriers, drivers, warehouse teams, and leadership to provide updates and resolve transportation issues.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience coordinating transportation, shipping, warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations.
  • Experience communicating with carriers, drivers, warehouse teams, and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience working with warehouse management, transportation management, or ERP systems.
  • Ability to work the scheduled shift of Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
  • Ability to make decisions and resolve operational issues in a time-sensitive environment.

Desired Skills And Experience
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), or ERP platforms.
  • Knowledge of transportation operations, route planning, carrier management, and freight tracking.
  • Experience reviewing bills of lading (BOLs), manifests, and shipping documentation.
  • Understanding of receiving, shipping, cross-dock, and dock flow operations.
  • Knowledge of freight classifications, trailer capacity, and load utilization principles.
  • Experience analyzing transportation, labor, or operational performance metrics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and operational disruptions.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills when working with carriers, drivers, and cross-functional teams.
