Position Overview:

The Load Planner Specialist is responsible for creating and optimizing loading plans for aircraft to ensure efficient and safe cargo and baggage handling. This role involves coordinating with various teams, analyzing load data, and ensuring compliance with aviation safety and operational standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize load plans for aircraft, ensuring maximum capacity utilization and balance. Coordinate with ground operations, cargo, and ramp teams to ensure accurate and timely loading of aircraft. Monitor cargo weight distribution to maintain aircraft safety and compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of load plans for each flight. Provide guidance and training to ground handling teams on load planning procedures. Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to cargo loading. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, weight and balance requirements, and cargo handling standards.

Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies. Attend training courses as may be required by AGI.

Qualifications and Skills Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in aviation or cargo handling preferred. If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001.

Experience:

2+ years of experience in load planning, cargo handling, or a related role within the aviation industry.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with load planning software, weight and balance calculations, and aviation safety regulations.
