Job summary

NextDecade is seeking an Optimization Process Engineer to collaborate across departments to optimize the LNG value chain safely, reliably, and sustainably. The role involves developing tools, monitoring production, and guiding projects from commissioning to steady-state operations at the RGLNG facility near Brownsville, TX.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or extensive experience in process engineering or operations.
• Minimum 5 years of LNG experience.
• Ability to obtain TWIC credentials.
• Experience with APCI liquefaction process.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Safety First culture while optimizing the value chain from feed gas to ship loading.
• Develop tools, monitor production, and identify opportunities for improvements.
• Provide technical guidance during commissioning, start-up, and steady-state operations.
• Collaborate with Engineering on improvement initiatives, processes and projects.
• Maintain production databook and loss database, review events and emissions data.
