Job summary

NextDecade is looking for an Optimization Process Engineer to collaborate with multiple departments at the RGLNG facility near Brownsville, Texas. You will develop tools, monitor production, and identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, and sustainability while supporting commissioning, start-up, and steady-state operations.

This role requires LNG processing expertise and plant optimization experience, the ability to work with a dynamic simulator, and the leadership to guide

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or extensive engineering experience focused on process engineering or operations.
• Minimum 5 years LNG experience.
• Ability to obtain TWIC credentials.
• Experience in plant optimization and LNG process operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety-first approach and lead safety initiatives.
• Review performance, deviations, and develop optimization tools.
• Provide technical guidance to safely optimize the value chain (feed gas, units, production, ship loading, power usage, emissions).
• Collaborate with Engineering to implement improvement initiatives and MOCs.
