Job summary

A leading energy investment firm in Houston is seeking a Corporate Development Associate to support growth initiatives across M&A, project development, capital markets, and strategic planning. This role requires 1–4 years of experience in investment banking or corporate development, strong financial modeling skills, and prior industry experience in LNG or midstream energy. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to evaluate and execute strategic opportunities. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, including project finance and cash flow modeling.
• Experience supporting M&A transactions and/or capital raises.
• Prior experience in LNG, midstream energy, power, or infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

• Support the evaluation and execution of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments across LNG infrastructure and related midstream assets.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, cash flow models, and valuation analyses.
• Prepare investment memoranda for internal investment committees and sponsors.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis across LNG markets.
• Support strategic planning initiatives including asset optimization and capital allocation analyses.
• Assist in evaluating project-level and corporate financing solutions.
