Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the registered nurse, across assigned units, ensuring quality and safety.

Required: High school diploma or GED, verification of LNA education, and current BLS. NH LNA license is mandatory. You’ll thrive in a team-focused environment emphasizing patient safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Proof of LNA Education Certificate and Final Report of Written and Clinical Competency Testing Results as required by NH Board of Nursing.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification or equivalent.
  • Current New Hampshire State LNA license.

Responsibilities

  • Performs activities of daily living and personal care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
  • Performs technical skills/procedures relating to physical, mental health and social needs under RN guidance.
  • Documents care provided and reports observations to the RN.
  • Maintains safe patient handling and adheres to time management.
  • Keeps patient care areas clean, safe, and stocked.
  • Receives delegated work with adherence to the five rights of delegation.
  • Performs job-specific duties and other tasks as assigned.
  • Serves as a preceptor for new employees.

Summary

Under the direction of the Director and/or Nurse Manager, the Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care duties for a group of patients, from simple to complex, for the specialty population on the unit or department, under the guidance and supervision of the registered nurse.

Education

High school or equivalent (GED) preferred.

Required: Proof of LNA Education Certificate and Final Report of Written and Clinical Competency Testing Results (as required by the NH Board of Nursing).

Certification, Registration & Licensure

Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.

Licensure required: Current New Hampshire State LNA license

Experience

Evidence of the ability to perform as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the patient care areas to ensure cleanliness, safety and supplies of material and equipment.
  • Receives delegated work adhering to the five rights of delegation.
  • Performs job specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
  • Serves as a preceptor for new employees.
