Mission of the Role
Enko Education is seeking a tech-savvy changemaker to lead the deployment of Toddle, our new Learning Management System, across 16 schools in Africa.
We are looking for a driven and visionary EdTech leader ready to enhance learning and teaching through data, digital tools, and pedagogy. This strategic role involves transforming classroom practices, empowering teachers, and strengthening our digital capabilities across the network. This role reports to the Group Head of Learning and Teaching and is a fixed-term consultancy contract for 2 years.
The responsibilities include ensuring each Enko school:
- Uses Toddle effectively for planning, assessment, reporting, and communication.
- Has access to reliable, actionable academic data to inform teaching, learning, and school improvement.
- Develops a clear EdTech strategy aligned with Enko's academic vision.
- Receives adequate training, resources, and guidance to maximize Toddle's impact.
This involves:
- Leading the project management of Toddle rollout across all schools for smooth adoption.
- Developing and maintaining Toddle as the central platform for academic data and curriculum planning.
- Training and supporting school teams to build capacity for data-driven decision-making.
- Monitoring progress, providing insights and reports, and collaborating with the Director of Learning.
- Staying updated on EdTech innovations, piloting new tools, and guiding implementation.
- Engaging with Heads of School, teachers, and administrative teams to foster ownership and sustainability.
The role will leverage:
1. Platform Capabilities (Toddle and other tools)
- Maximize Toddle’s functionalities—planning, assessment, portfolios, reporting, communication—to streamline workflows.
- Customize Toddle features to meet the diverse needs of 16 schools.
- Use analytics and reporting to track adoption and usage.
2. Data Systems and Infrastructure
- Design or improve centralized academic data systems (dashboards, templates, shared tools).
- Standardize assessment data formats across schools for scalable analysis.
- Set up systems to automatically identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in student performance.
3. Training & Capacity Building
- Deliver targeted professional development to staff.
- Create user guides, videos, and toolkits for independent system use.
- Identify and coach “champions” in each school to embed practices locally.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Heads of School, Academic Coordinators, Directors, and other departments to embed system use into daily operations.
5. Leadership Engagement and Influence
- Provide compelling data visualizations to inform decisions and inspire leadership action.
- Conduct strategy sessions to align school leaders.
- Celebrate early wins and recognize progress to build momentum.
6. EdTech Pilots and Innovation
- Test new technologies in controlled environments.
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for wider adoption.
- Stay informed on global digital learning trends and translate into practical guidance.
7. Governance & Accountability
- Use OKRs, KPIs, scorecards to transparently track progress.
- Align data analysis with inspection, reporting, and budgeting cycles.
- Incorporate system targets into leadership performance reviews where appropriate.
Relevant Skills and Experience:
- Fluent in French and English.
- Strong IT skills and interpersonal communication.
Desirable:
- Experience in education sector roles or project management.
- Residency in Africa or Europe.
