Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group in Lexington, KY is seeking a full-time Radiology Technologist Float. The role covers multiple urgent care locations in the Louisville area, performing radiographic exams and assisting care teams.

Qualified candidates hold limited Radiographer Certification, may have RT license in place of LMR, and must possess BCLS. The position requires strong patient interaction and EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to determine changes in health status.
• Perform radiographic exams as required.
• Maintain patient records and charting in EMR.
• Assist in maintaining department cleanliness and order.
• Coordinate and communicate patient histories with team.
• Ensure proper patient flow through exam and treatment areas.
• Prepare rooms and restock supplies as assigned.
• Assist physicians and nurses with patient care and procedures.
• Record vital signs and report abnormal readings.

BHMG Urgent Care Lexington Float

LMR but will accept Rad Tech - MA

The LMR or RT Float will also perform as a Medical Assistant. The float will cover Louisville area Urgent Care locations as a full-time employee. The clinics are open 8am - 8pm Monday through Friday, and 9am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday. Your schedule will include some weekends but will not exceed the full-time hours.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Effectively communicates with patients to determine changes in health status since last visit, including medications, and records in EMR.
• Assists in maintaining cleanliness and order in department.
• Responsible for all records and charting of information related to individual cases.
• Performs all radiographic exams as required.
• Collects patient histories and other related information, coordinating and communicating with others as needed.
• Maintains appropriate and efficient patient flow through exam and treatment areas.
• Maintains adequate supplies and equipment in exam rooms and other areas as assigned and prepares room after each patient.
• Assists physicians, ARNPs, and nurses with patient care, exams, tests, and procedures as designated.
• Accurately obtains and records vital signs, reporting abnormal readings as appropriate.
• Performs clerical duties as assigned including assembling information for patient education, assisting patients with nutrition and toileting as needed, scheduling, and obtaining insurance authorizations for medication

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Limited Radiographer Certification required
• RT license may be considered in place of LMR
• BCLS required

Radiologic Technology, x-ray imaging, digital imaging, RIS, Radiology Information System, Radiographic Procedures
