Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/LMR or RT Float for BHMG Urgent Care Lexington Float. The role covers Louisville area Urgent Care locations as a full-time employee.

Clinics operate 8am-8pm Mon-Fri and 9am-5pm Sat-Sun; schedule includes some weekends but remains full-time. The Float assists staff and physicians by collecting patient information, performing radiographic exams, and supporting patient care under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Limited Radiographer Certification required
• RT license may be considered in place of LMR
• BCLS required

BHMG Urgent Care Lexington Float

LMR but will accept Rad Tech - MA

The LMR or RT Float will also perform as a Medical Assistant. The float will cover Louisville area Urgent Care locations as a full-time employee. The clinics are open 8am - 8pm Monday through Friday, and 9am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday. Your schedule will include some weekends but will not exceed the full-time hours.

The Medical Assistant/ LMR or RT Float assists the staff and physicians by collecting pertinent patient information needed to determine physical and psychological needs, address and identify health problems. They perform selected treatments, procedures and routine duties under the supervision of physicians and the Practice Manager/Practice Coordinator. Performs radiographic exams as required with general equipment. They function as a member of the healthcare team with responsibilities commensurate with training and demonstrated competencies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicates with patients to determine changes in health status since last visit, including medications, and records in EMR.
• Assists in maintaining cleanliness and order in department.
• Responsible for all records and charting of information related to individual cases.
• Performs all radiographic exams as required.
• Collects patient histories and other related information, coordinating and communicating with others as needed.
• Maintains appropriate and efficient patient flow through exam and treatment areas.
• Maintains adequate supplies and equipment in exam rooms and other areas as assigned and prepares room after each patient.
• Assists physicians, ARNPs, and nurses with patient care, exams, tests, and procedures as designated.
• Accurately obtains and records vital signs, reporting abnormal readings as appropriate.
• Performs clerical duties as assigned including assembling information for patient education, assisting patients with nutrition and toileting as needed, scheduling, and obtaining insurance authorizations for medication

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Limited Radiographer Certification required
• RT license may be considered in place of LMR
• BCLS required

Radiologic Technology, x-ray imaging, digital imaging, RIS, Radiology Information System, Radiographic Procedures
