Job Opportunity: Vehicle/Ground Support Equipment Maintenance Technician Senior

Location: Aeropuerto Internacional de Tijuana, General Abelardo R. Rodriguez s/n, Hangar Matrix, 22435 Colonia Nueva Tijuana, Mexico

Type: Full time

Description: To provide field operations/maintenance work for the vehicle fleet and Ground Support Equipment, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications.

  1. Perform repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance inspections.
  2. Troubleshoot vehicle fleet and ground equipment issues.
  3. Diagnose problems, disassemble equipment, and perform repairs.
  4. Make adjustments for safe and efficient operation.
  5. Complete required paperwork including VURR, VAGIS, and FAMIS documentation.
  6. Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with standards.
  7. Provide guidance to technicians and trainees.
  8. Ensure project completion and maintain inventory levels.
  9. Interface with customers (FedEx employees), vendors, US suppliers, and corporate departments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Six (6) years of recent fleet, automotive, heavy equipment, or truck maintenance experience.
  • Applicable licenses or vocational training.
  • Knowledge of automotive and testing equipment, gauges, and tools.
  • Ability to work independently for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy components.
  • Experience with welding and basic electrical troubleshooting preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Fluent in English.

Additional Requirements:

  • Six (6) years of recent experience in fleet maintenance or similar.
  • Knowledge of automotive and troubleshooting tools.
  • Ability to work without supervision and lift heavy components.
  • Experience with welding and electrical troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and fluency in English required.
