Job summary

Bob Evans Farms, Inc. is seeking a 2-2-3 Day Shift forklift operator for 6am to 6pm at our Lima, OH facility. You will move materials, operate stand-up forklift, and support production by conveying goods between receiving, storage and assembly areas.

The role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety standards. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, forklift training, and the ability to perform lifting of 25-35 lbs, with flexible hours and a readiness to participate in off-site

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Ability to be trained on a forklift.
• Preferred experience in a production environment with forklifts.
• Ability to recognize opportunities and solve problems.
• Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Willingness to attend off-site training.
• Ability to walk, stand, crouch, lift 25-35 lbs, twist, climb, reach daily.

Responsibilities

• Drive stand-up forklift/walkie truck.
• Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other areas.
• Sorts and places materials by size, type, style, color, or code.
• Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
• Fills requisitions and distributes items to production workers.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
• Records amounts of materials received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to standards.
• Use computer to enter records.
• Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
• Operate pallet wrapping equipment.
• Move Semis and trailers as needed with yard tractor.
• Operate cardboard/trash compactors.
• Maintains inventory records.
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

2-2-3 Day Shift - 6am to 6pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive stand-up forklift/walkie truck.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
• Use computer to enter records.
• Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
• Operate pallet wrapping equipment.
• Move Semi Trailers as needed with yard tractor.
• Operate cardboard compactor/ Trash compactor.
• Maintains inventory records.
• Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS

Areas of facility may include controlled temperature zones including areas with refrigeration and noise levels requiring PPE.

90% Facility Environment

10% Office Environment
