Job summary

Bob Evans Farms, Inc. seeks an experienced forklift operator for a 2-2-3 day shift from 6am to 6pm. You will move materials between receiving, production and storage, maintain accurate records and operate related equipment in a facility environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, forklift training, and the ability to work flexibly in a production setting with attention to detail and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Forklift training or certification required.
• Experience operating a forklift in a production setting preferred.
• Able to identify opportunities and solve problems as they arise.
• Capable of multitasking in a deadline-driven environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Willing to work flexible hours and shifts.
• Willing to attend off-site training.
• Daily physical ability to walk, stand, crouch, lift 25–35 lbs, twist, climb, reach.

Responsibilities

• Drive stand-up forklift/walkie truck.
• Conveys materials from receiving or production to storage or other areas.
• Sorts and places materials by size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated areas.
• Fills requisitions and distributes items to production workers.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Opens bales, crates and containers as needed.
• Records amounts of materials received or distributed.
• Moves semi trailers as needed with yard tractor.
• Operates pallet wrapping and maintains inventory records.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

2-2-3 Day Shift - 6am to 6pm

Duties And Responsibilities

• Drive stand-up forklift/walkie truck.


• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.


• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.


• Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.


• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.


• Marks materials with identifying information.


• Opens bales, crates, and other containers


• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.


• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards


• Use computer to enter records.


• Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.


• Operate pallet wrapping equipment.


• Move Semi Trailers as needed with yard tractor.


• Operate cardboard compactor/ Trash compactor.


• Maintains inventory records.


• Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS

Areas of facility may include controlled temperature zones including areas with refrigeration and noise levels requiring PPE.

90% Facility Environment

10% Office Environment
