Job summary

Reality Labs at Meta is seeking a Research Scientist with deep expertise in Large Language Models to advance AI-powered neuromotor interfaces for wearable devices. We are building next-generation language capabilities for Meta's wearable platforms via our EMG program, combining ML, language modeling, and on-device optimization.

You will lead LLM design and deployment, set technical direction for a small team, and collaborate with engineering, product, and HCI to transition research into

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; PhD completing before joining Meta.
• Expertise in Large Language Models — architecture, training, fine-tuning, deployment.
• Python programming and PyTorch experience.
• Experience scaling ML/NLP models from concept to production.
• 5+ years of independent ML/NLP research experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of LLMs for wearable devices.
• Set technical direction for a team of 3–4 researchers/engineers.
• Research to improve accuracy, efficiency, on-device performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to productionize LLMs.
• Stay current with advances in NLP and related fields.
