Summary
As a Leasing Consultant, you serve as the primary contact for prospective residents, playing a vital role in ensuring all residents feel welcome. You will coordinate marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to meet occupancy, revenue, and retention goals, handling all activities related to leasing, resident satisfaction, and lease renewals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct sales and leasing activities to meet revenue and occupancy goals, including greeting prospects, tours, application processing, credit and background checks.
  • Prepare lease and move-in documentation to facilitate smooth resident onboarding.
  • Inspect apartments before move-in, ensure readiness, and coordinate repairs or cleaning as needed.
  • Stay informed about market conditions affecting occupancy and sales.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to sustain occupancy, including managing concessions and specials.
  • Utilize property management software (e.g., Yardi) to track availability, traffic, leasing activities, and resident data.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident and prospect inquiries, addressing concerns effectively.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous leasing experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills, familiarity with MS Office; Yardi experience is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license may be required.
  • Positive, motivated, team-oriented attitude with a desire to excel in a competitive environment.

Work Hours
Typically Monday-Friday with rotating weekends; hours may vary based on business needs.

Work Location
Onsite at properties, with exposure to outside elements and potential environmental hazards.
