Summary

As a Leasing Consultant, you will be the primary contact for prospective residents, playing a critical role in making all residents feel welcome. You will coordinate marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to meet occupancy, revenue, and retention goals by conducting leasing activities, providing excellent resident service, and securing lease renewals.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Conduct sales and leasing activities to meet revenue and occupancy targets, including greeting prospects, touring communities, processing applications, and performing background checks.
  2. Prepare lease and move-in documentation to ensure smooth resident onboarding.
  3. Inspect apartments before move-in to ensure readiness and coordinate repairs if needed.
  4. Stay informed about market conditions affecting occupancy and sales.
  5. Develop and implement marketing plans to sustain occupancy, adhering to community policies on concessions and specials.
  6. Utilize property management software (e.g., Yardi) to track availability, traffic, leasing activities, and resident data.
  7. Respond promptly and courteously to resident and prospect inquiries, addressing concerns effectively.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous leasing experience is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS Office; Yardi experience is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license may be required
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a drive to succeed in a competitive environment
Work Hours

Typically Monday-Friday with rotating weekends; hours may vary based on business needs.

Work Location

On-site at our properties, with exposure to outdoor elements and varying weather conditions.
