Job summary

A leading food manufacturer in Austin, MN is looking for a responsible individual to join their team for the role of Hog Receiver. The position involves strong communication with producers, enforcing animal welfare policies, and managing procurement transactions. Candidates should possess good communication skills, physical strength to assist large animals, and the ability to work in dynamic environmental conditions. The starting rate for this role is $24.85 per hour with a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate a strong pattern of written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical strength to assist in gently rolling 200 - 300 lb. non-ambulatory animals.
• Ability to withstand a wide variety of temperature / climate changes.
• Ability to withstand higher levels of noise, dust, and odors associated with livestock.

Responsibilities

• Completes procurement transaction information and receives animals.
• Serves as the front-line contact with producers and transporters.
• Enforces animal welfare and handling policies.
• Provides relief coverage in Grade & Yield department as needed.
