Zoetis Livestock Marketing is seeking a highly motivated intern to support branding, digital outreach, and convention activities from Parsippany, NJ or virtually across the U.S. You will help develop promotional assets, identify digital opportunities, and assist with market research and event logistics.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, define KPIs, and help create assets for campaigns and exhibits while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic livestock business.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Junior or above; post-graduate students in Masters, MBA, PhD programs also welcome.
  • Experience in Livestock welcomed, but not required.
  • Majoring in Animal Science, Marketing, Business, or Communications or similar field.
  • Computer experience: Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Acrobat Pro.
  • Attention to detail; ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and deliver high performance and quality on deadline.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, accountability, and willingness to accept challenges and lead change.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Advertising and Promotional Development: collaborate to identify initiatives, lead tactic development, and ensure milestone adherence.
  • Recommend Digital Marketing Enhancements: refine Zoetis Livestock's social media and digital presence, define KPIs and improve reporting.
  • Convention/Event Support: assist with logistics, coordination, and media relations for conferences.
  • Market Research: collaborate to scope MR projects and report findings.
  • Final Project – Tactical Rollout: present rollout recommendations and outline next steps.

While actively participating in ongoing planning and implementation efforts, the intern will spearhead essential projects not limited to focusing on the development of promotional materials, identification of digital media opportunities, building creative assets like photo or video, executing operational efficiencies, as well as support for any key conventions or meetings.**Internship Job Duties:**· **Advertising and Promotional Development**a. Collaborate with Livestock Marketing Communications to identify specific initiatives and tactics within the communication plan(s) to execute and roll out. b. Lead the development of each tactic from initiation to execution, ensuring adherence to key milestone dates and building associated timelines.c. Provide constructive feedback on initial drafts and take ownership of commercial reviews.d. Formulate an internal communication plan emphasizing the purpose and utility of the tools, aligning them with broader goals. · **Recommend Digital Marketing Enhancements & Improvements:**a. Collaborate across functions, including OTC/Retail, Digital and/or with agency partners, to identify opportunities for refining and expanding Zoetis Livestock's social media profiles and online presence through content development and digital marketing trendsb. Establish benchmarks, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborate with the team to enhance reporting mechanisms.c. Engage with other business units within Zoetis to gain insights from their social media channels or digital platforms identifying synergies, alignment opportunities, and strategies to elevate our digital presence. · **Convention/Event Support:**a. Assist the team in various aspects of event planning and coordination, including logistics and scheduling to ensure seamless execution of the convention/meeting.b. Collaborate with marketing communications as well as our agency partners to execute assets for events and sponsorships associated with the conference. c. Support media relations and event interviews with our public relations team. · **Market Research:**a. Collaborate with Livestock Marketing as well as the Zoetis Market Research team to define the scope of a Market Research (MR) project and outline discussion materials.b.
