The Arizona Department of Agriculture seeks a Livestock Inspector for the Animal Services Division in the Marana/Tucson area. You will inspect livestock at Marana Livestock Auction and other facilities, monitor health and identification, and enforce state regulations.

This role requires valid Arizona driver’s license, willingness to travel, and ability to work with a diverse public. Benefits include sick leave, vacation, parental leave, health and retirement plans.

Formación

• Requires possession of and ability to retain a valid Arizona driver’s license.
• On-site inspections at ranches, feedlots and auctions.
• Follows department regulations and prepares reports.
• Bi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Pre-employment: E-Verify.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor health and proper identification of animals during shipping season.
• Monitor Beef Council fee compliance.
• Handle money and submit weekly deposits.
• Submit activity reports, time sheets, travel claims, and related reports.
• Work the Marana Livestock Auction.
• Other duties as assigned.
