Responsibilities include daily feeding, handling, grooming horses, disinfecting areas, documenting observations, assisting with veterinary procedures, maintaining accurate records, inventory, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

  • Ability to safely handle livestock and adhere to welfare protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily care for livestock, including feeding and watering according to schedules and individual care plans.
  • Safely handle, restrain, move, and work with livestock following safety and welfare protocols.
  • Groom horses, including brushing, mane/tail care, hoof inspection, bathing.
  • Clean, maintain, and disinfect stalls, paddocks, shelters, and equipment.
  • Monitor animals for illness, injury, distress, or behavior changes and report concerns promptly.
  • Assist with administering medications and basic treatments per plans and direction.
  • Prepare animals and facilities for veterinary exams, vaccinations, and other procedures.
  • Maintain accurate animal-care records and documentation.
