Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a farmhand to feed and water livestock, monitor supplies, and maintain facilities on a farm in Michigan. The role involves moving equipment and animals, cleaning pens, and supporting daily farm operations.

Housing is employer-provided, including meals and weekly town transportation options. Applicants should have at least 3 months of related experience, be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days, and consent to post-hire drug screening and criminal background checks

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months of experience required.
• Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire.
• Post-hire drug screen will be performed at employer's expense.
• Post-hire criminal background check will be performed at employer's expense.

Responsibilities

• Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies.
• Maintain heated watering system.
• Move equipment or livestock between locations on the farm.
• Clean stalls, pens, and equipment using disinfectants, brushes, shovels, or water hoses.
• Operate snow removal equipment to enable feed wagons operation.
• Remove ice from water sources.
• Lift and carry items up to 60 pounds.
• Work in extreme temperatures and adhere to biosecurity, health, and safety guidelines.
