Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a hands-on Farm Worker to perform daily livestock care at our Iowa location. Responsibilities include feeding, monitoring health, administering basic medications, and maintaining housing and fencing. Experience with farm equipment and basic driving will be beneficial.

You will also assist with cleaning, tagging livestock, and occasional trips to town for supplies. No CDL is required, and housing/Meals are provided by the employer.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak English.
• Minimum of 3 months experience in related work.
• Must be able to obtain a driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• Criminal background check may be required post-hire due to tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Feed livestock daily using a payloader, feed wagon and watering systems.
• Examine animals for illness, injury or disease and monitor weight gain.
• Administer medications and vaccinations or arrange veterinary care as needed.
• Clean bedding and maintain pens, barns, yards and fences for cleanliness.
• Mark livestock with ear tags to identify ownership.
• Move livestock between locations on the farm.
• Mix feed, additives and medicines as prescribed.
• Operate snow removal equipment and remove ice from waters.
• Drive to town to obtain cattle supplies as needed.
